I’ve been in education for the last 16 years, first as a primary school teacher in Tottenham, Haringey, and then as one of the owners of Into The Woods outdoor nursery. My experience from both settings and from having children of my own has led me to question some of the beliefs and approaches that underpin our current mainstream education system, and to understand just how much we need a different approach. I’m incredibly excited to be part of the team that is founding a very different kind of school – a school that views success in a very different way and is therefore centred on the real needs of the children rather than the needs of the system.
