TEACHER & FOREST SCHOOL LEADER

As soon as I found out about Wildwood Nature School and its inspiring ethos, that puts well-being and the importance of learning in the natural world at its heart, I knew I had to work there. I have been a primary school teacher for 19 years and now I have found a school where I can be the teacher I have always aspired to be.

Most of my teaching has been in Early Years and Key Stage 1. I have taught in schools in Havering, Redbridge, and Essex. Quality outdoor learning has always been important to me, so I decided to train as a Forest School Leader and have not looked back. I am passionate about Forest school as I know this child-centred, holistic approach has huge benefits, including developing self-confidence, self-esteem, and resilience.

I think this school is the most magical place to work and learn and I am so happy and proud to be part of the team.
